Why I Started My Blog

Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog! Today, I wanted to talk about something a little different. It's been almost three years since I started this blog, and I couldn't be happier with how its turned out. This was a spur of the moment idea not really something I thought I would continue doing for long let alone three years. So, let's get into it!

I started this blog at the end of my senior year of college. If you didn't know I'm an English Major; my concentration in writing. I have always loved books from such a young age, and to be honest there was nothing else in the school curriculum that I was really passionate about.

With school ending that meant I was free to read whatever I wanted. I could read the genres I loved. I could read without worrying about any required reading or other assignments. Whenever I was done with a book, I would basically give a verbal review to my boyfriend (now fiancé). I think it was even him who first brought up the idea of starting a blog. It was him who at least named my blog.

Reading wasn't something that would stop when college was officially done and over with. I was still going to read, so why not post a review, why not share my thoughts, why not still analyze books like I have been for the last several years? It just seemed to make sense. I wanted something beyond just giving a starred rating on GoodReads. Thus, the blog was born.

Nowadays, I try to post more than just book reviews because I want some diversity in my blog posts, plus, something fun and more creative to write. I still enjoy posting even years later.
