Out of the Woods Book Review

Hello everyone, and welcome back to the blog! Today, I am back with another book review. I've never read anything by Hannah Bonam-Young before, but I've seen her books all over my social media pages. So, let's get into it!
In Out of the Woods, we follow married couple, Caleb and Sarah as they work through some material issues they've been having. Having fallen into certain roles, Sarah is looking for change. Her best friend, Win, suggests that her and Caleb try a couples camping retreat to help them reconnect. Not very outdoorsy, they both agree to go on the seven day camping retreat.
I loved every second of this book. I thought the plot was so unique and unlike anything I had ever read before. Obviously, most romance books are about finding love, but I really liked the idea of reconnecting with love. I liked knowing Sarah and Caleb were married and had been for a while. I liked seeing them want to work out their marriage. They were both so clearly still in love; they were just a little stuck in the day-to-day life of it all.
I saw a lot of myself in Sarah which is why I liked her so much. She struggled with her self-image and wanted to be independent. She didn't want to rely on her husband so heavily.
Caleb was a cute boy-next door nerd who honestly was really sweet. You could tell how much he cared about Sarah and only wanted to help. While hesitant at first with the whole camping thing, he jumped on board because he didn't want to lose this wife.
They were so playful together, and I loved seeing them find their spark again. Like I said above, it was unlike any other books I've read before.
This book is just above 300 pages, so it's a very quick and easy read. It is the second book in the Out series. I did not read the first book, Out on a Limb, but I want to read everything of Bonam-Young's now. She also has a new book coming out in the fall called People Watching. I'm super excited for that one!
Overall, I gave this 5/5 stars, and highly recommend!
Alright folks that is all I have for this week. Come back next Wednesday for another blog post! As always, thank you for reading:)
