Only in Your Dreams Book Review

Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog! Today, I am back with yet another book review. I'm still in my sport romance grind, and I have to say I'm really excited about this one. So, let's get into it!
Only in Your Dreams by Ellie K. Wilde follows best friends Melody and Zac as they navigate being back each other's lives after ten years apart. They were close friends in high school, both having a gigantic crush on the other, but neither knowing what the other felt. Their friendship ended on bad terms, and Melody left their small hometown. But now she's back!
Fresh off the break-up train, Melody is back in her hometown living with her twin brother, Parker. The last person she wants to see is Zac, the guy who broke her heart. But when they are both stuck on a camping trip, Melody and Zac will be forced to work through their issues.
Melody isn't sure if she's ready for another relationship especially with her childhood crush, but Zac is determined to show her the upstanding guy he can be.
Honestly, I loved every second of this book; I love a good coach romance book. Zac grew up playing and happened to fall into a head coach position. Which is another plot point to the story.
I really liked how the chemistry between Zac and Melody was written. I was rooting for them the entire time. I loved how much Zac loved and cared for Melody. I loved seeing Melody lower her guards around Zac.
The spice was off the charts. Take that as you will.
The dynamic of the core group of characters was something I really liked as well. I just thought everything was done so eloquently.
Also, Melody was in a very controlling relationship, and I feel like this isn't something I see a lot in books. I thought it was really well done here. As in, how the author showed us how Melody was treated, Melody's thought process during and after the relationship, the great group of people in her life supporting her...I just think the topic was handled with care.
Overall, I would highly recommend. Brooks' story comes out this July which I can't wait to read! I give his 4/5 stars.
Alright folks, that is all I have for today! Come back next Wednesday for another blog post. As always, thank you for reading :)
