One by One Book Review
Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog! Today, I am back with another book review. I'm so excited for this one because I absolutely loved it. So, let's get into it!
One by One by Ruth Ware is told in a dual perspective. On one hand we have Erin who works at a chalet in a ski resort. She's trying to move on from a tragic accident that happened years ago. On the other hand, we have Liz, who is considered an employee at Snoop. Snoop is an app that lets you listen to what others are listening to in real time. Liz isn't thrilled to be spending a week with her fellow co-workers at a ski resort. Tragedy strikes when an avalanche traps everyone inside the chalet. And one by one, people are picked off and killed.
Honestly, I think this is the perfect book to read on a cold winter night (by the fire). I almost read this in one sitting it was so good. I think this is the perfect book to also pull you from a reading slump.
The chapters are short, and once the avalanche happens everything is very fast paced. Even when I found out who the killer was, I was still on the edge of my seat. There was definitely a teeth gritting element to this that I haven't experienced in a long time, and I loved it.
The only thing I will say, until the avalanche part comes it does take a bit to get into it. I would say like the first 50ish pages is a bit of a drag. But once the action starts, it really takes off!
I haven't read many books by Ruth Ware, but this makes me want to pick up more. I highly recommend checking this one out!
Overall, I would give this 4/5 stars!
Alright folks, that is all I have today! Come back next Wednesday for another blog post. As always thank you for reading:)
