None of This is True Book Review

Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog! Today, I am back with another book review. This was one of my BOTM picks and as always, they killed it with the thriller option. So, let's get into it!

I see Lisa Jewell books everywhere on my social media pages, but I have never read one of her books yet which is kind of astounding. I first heard about this book during the Shari Lapena author event I went to; this was what she was currently reading so obviously I took note.

This book follows Alix Summers, a podcaster, who is looking to spice things up for her next episode. Coincidentally she meets Josie Fair, her birthday twin at a bar one night. They were born the same day, same time, and same hospital. Weird, right? Well that's not even the weirdest thing about Josie Fair. She becomes obsessive over Alix's lifestyle. But overall, Josie is weird. She gives off an uncomfortable vibe. Alix is at her wits end when her husband, Nate disappears. And Josie goes off grid. Are the two connected, did Josie do something to Nate, etc?

I think the characters in this book are so well written. Josie is unreliable and just weird, Alix is too nice to tell Josie to hit the road, Nate is a drug addict but a good husband when he wants to be. I liked getting Josie's perspective and then the other side of the story. For example, Josie would tell Alix one thing, and Josie's husband, Walter, would say something contradicting.

The ending gives me the same vibe that Verity by Colleen Hoover did. You're still not sure what to believe, and you're left with even more questions than answers.

Overall, I would give this 4/5 stars. I think this is the perfect book to pull you out of a slump. It really pulls you in from the very first page.

Alright folks, that is all I have for today! Come back next Wednesday for another blog post! As always, thank you for reading:)
