My Most Anticipated Books of 2025 Pt. 1
Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog! To get things rolling for 2025, I want to talk about the books that I am excited for most. The first half of 2025 is already stacked with so many good books, so let’s get into it!
• January 7: Temple of Swoon by Jo Segura
Jo Segura is an author I definitely keep tabs on. Her other novel, Raiders of the Lost Heart, was so good. I loved the chemistry between the main characters, and I can’t wait to dive into her newest book.
• January 21: Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros
I don't think this requires any further explanation. Iron Flame was just added to Kindle Unlimited in anticipation of this release. I am definitely going to need to re-read before I can dive into book three.
• February 4: Deep End by Ali Hazelwood
There is nothing I love more than a sports romance, and a swimming one? Count me in. I’ve never read a swimming sport romance before, but I’m willing to read anything Ali Hazelwood puts out.
• March 4: Wild Side by Elsie Silver
One of my new favorite auto-buy authors! I’m so excited to continue the Rose Hill series and find out more about Rhys. A marriage of convenience is such an underrated trope.
• March 18: Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins
This doesn’t need an explanation.
• April 1: Say You’ll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez
First of all, the cover for this book is absolutely gorgeous. I loved Just for the Summer, and I always love an Abby Jimenez book. Her style and content reminds me a lot of Emily Henry.
• April 22: Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry
Every year I get so excited for a new Emily Henry book, and every year they keep getting better and better. I’m super excited for her newest book. It gives Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo vibes but add a bit of romance into it.
• June 3: Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid
I’ve read a few of Reid’s books, and I’ve really liked the ones I’ve read. Side note: I really want to read Daisy Jones & The Six. There’s just something about the way every one of Reid’s books is different but also the same. I wonder how much research goes into some of them. This one is set in the 1980s, dealing with the space shuttle program. My husband is really into space, so I feel like that makes this extra special.
• June 24: Don’t Let Him in by Lisa Jewell
Lisa Jewell is another auto-buy author. I didn’t realize she was releasing a new book in 2025, so this was a pleasant surprise. While I haven’t been on my usual thriller grind, I am very excited for more Lisa Jewell content.
I'm always interested to see how many of these anticipated reads I actually end up reading because I feel like for the first two years it wasn't much. I did better last year though, so that has to count for something. This is a pretty stacked list so the results lean towards being able to get to all of them. Maybe part two will contain a new SJM book? One can only hope.
Alright folks, that is all I have for this week! Come back next Wednesday for another blog post! As always thank you for reading:)
