Gold Rush Ranch Series Review

Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog! Today, I am back with a series review. I’ve been devouring Elsie Silver’s books, and I finished one of her older series, Gold Rush Ranch. So, let’s get into it!

There are four books in this series. In order below:

- Off to the Races

- A Photo Finish

- The Front Runner

- A False Start

In my opinion, I really liked the 2nd and 4th books the best. To be honest, I love the Rose Hill series better than this one. I have not read the Chestnut Spring series, and I know everyone loves that the most.

Elsie Silver’s books all follow the same pattern which doesn’t bother me. I’m in it for the romance and there is tons of fluff and spice. I feel like knowing what to expect makes the book go faster for me in a way.

I loved all the Gold Rush Ranch characters. I loved the found family they created for themselves. I loved the swoony, romantic, sensitive MMCs. All of the FMCs were strong women who went after their dreams and didn’t let fear hold them back. The same can be said for the men. While they all had to work through their past trauma, they ultimately weren’t going to let fear stop them.

These aren’t just spicey, cowboy vibe romance books. There are bigger issues brought up and handled with care. Each character had to learn their lesson to make them the best version of themselves.

The books do need to be read in order because the characters from the books show up in others. The books are also in chronological order. I think like 4-5 years passes from book one to book four. So obviously, the main characters in book one are mentioned in book four at a different state of life then when we last met them. But I enjoy this style of writing. I like when each book is centered around a different character that we were introduced to in the previous book.

Overall, I would highly recommend! I gave each book either a 4/5 or a 5/5 rating. They are good palette cleansers, and honestly if you’re looking for a well written, fluffy but spicy romance book these are perfect.

Alright folks, that is all I have for today! Come back next Wednesday for another blog post. As always, thank you for reading :)
