Deep End Book Review

Hello everyone, and welcome back to the blog! I am so excited for this book review. I love everything Ali Hazelwood writes, but this one might be my favorite by far. So, let's get into it!
In this Ali Hazelwood novel, we follow Stanford diver, Scarlett Vandermeer, as she focuses on recovering from an injury and applying to med school which means she has no time for a relationship. Enter, Lukas Blomqvist who is Stanford's swimming golden boy. He's constantly setting records and winning gold medals. Scarlett and Lukas have nothing in common until certain secrets spill, and they find themselves in an interesting position. They enter an arrangement of sorts, but things start to heat up with their relationship and in their personal lives. So of course, is a relationship feasible between them?
I loved every single second of this book. I swooned, I screamed, I giggled, I simply didn't want it to end. It's been a few days since I've finished, and honestly all I want to do is read it again.
I've seen mixed reviews about this book online, and I'm really struggling with how people didn't like this. I've seen some people say it's too spicy....but Hazelwood was very upfront from the get-go that this was going to be one of her spicer books. To be honest, I've read books with a lot more spice.
The chemistry between Scarlett and Lukas is off the charts. Lukas is SO DOWN BAD. The things he says to Scarlett are everything. He's so sweet with her. Like I said I was simply giggling and screaming while reading this. They might be one of my favorite bookish couples.
The thing Lukas says about the threesomes...I had to put the book down for a hot minute to process and then re-read the line a hundred times before continuing. Everything he said was so perfect.
This is definitely a he falls first trope, along it being a college sports romance. I've never read a swimming sport romance before, and I would be down for more of them.
This was a really fast read as well; a little over 400 pages. I was hooked from the very beginning.
Overall, I give this 5/5 stars. I highly recommend checking this book out, and then I recommend reading all of Ali Hazelwood's other books. You won't be disappointed.
Alright folks, that is all I have for this week! Come back next Wednesday for another blog post. As always, thank you for reading :)
