3 Books I Would Take to a Deserted Island
Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog! You know how people will ask you what are 3 things you would grab from your house if it was on fire, or what are 3 things you would take to a deserted island. I hate those questions because I truly don't know what I would do in that moment. Would I try to take my electronic devices, would I try to take picture frames, scrapbooks, photo albums, etc. I wanted to take things a step further, and make myself decide on which books I would take with me if I was stranded on an island completely alone. Let's get into it!
I just want to say that I have absolutely no idea where to start. I can't even name my favorite book its too hard. There are so many great books to choose from. BUT we all know how much I love SJM's book. So, let's start there.
I can't bring a whole series with me because 1. I can only take 3 books 2. all of SJM's series are longer than 3 books. So, I feel like my options are to either take the first 3 ACOTAR books or to just take A Court of Thorns and Roses. I've already read this book multiple times, and I don't see how I will ever tire of it.
So for book #1: I will only be taking A Court of Thorns and Roses.
That leaves space for two more books.
Obviously one of these has to be a thriller. One of my favorite thriller writers is Riley Sager. So, I will take as book #2 my favorite Riley Sager book Last Time I Lied.
That one was pretty easy.
I have no clue what to do for the last book though. Thriller is my favorite genre so do I bring another? Do I bring another fantasy like Fourth Wing? Do I bring a romance novel to give myself even more options?
I'm leaning towards giving myself as many options as possible which means its time to select a romance book. My second favorite genre.
When I think of contemporary romance books my mind goes to Emily Henry. Her books have so much depth, so many bigger undertones than just a plain romance novel. Or her books, Happy Place is by far my favorite. So for the last book, book #3, I will be bringing Happy Place.
In summary the 3 books are:
- A Court of Thorns and Roses by SJM
- Last Time I Lied by Riley Sager
- Happy Place by Emily Henry
