Bad Girl Reputation Book Review

Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog! Today I am back with another book review! I had read the first book in the Avalon Bay series, Good Girl Complex, earlier this year. Once I heard there was going to be a continuation of the series I knew I wanted to check it out, so let's get into it!

As stated above, this falls in the Avalon Bay Universe. In the first book, we get Mac and Cooper's story; in this book, we get his twin brother, Evan and Gen's story. Which it took me awhile to remember who Coop was because it had been a few months since I read the first book.

I really like that Elle Kennedy will write series and have each book be the story for a different character. There is going to be a third book in this series coming out next summer, but to be honest, I have no idea who's story it's going to be. This book didn't focus on a lot of outside character's beyond Gen's other love interest whose name I do not remember at the moment. So, it must be his then.

But going back to Bad Girl Reputation, I actually did not like this book as much as I thought I would. I really liked Good Girl Complex and overall, I like Elle Kennedy's books, but I don't know I just didn't feel the connection between Evan and Gen. I don't think they had enough chemistry.

They had dated on and off all throughout high school, and then Gen left because she had really bad habits, classic bad girl things. So they have a history, and were madly in love, it was very passionate, all that stuff. But I didn't get that through the writing and actions of their present relationship.

I didn't feel like they were that connected, and I mean the whole time Gen seemed totally turned off by the idea of wanting to be with Evan again. It felt very forced, and I didn't vibe with it.

It's a very short book and the chapters are short as well. It didn't take long to finish. But based on how I feel after I read this, I don't think I'm going to continue reading the rest of the series.

Overall, I would give it a 2.5/5 stars. I loved Good Girl Complex, so if anything I would recommend that and its stand alone enough that you don't need to continue reading after that.
